Heather Hoagland, LCSW
I love to start sessions with clients asking them what they want to change because you are the expert on being you, and I want to assist you in achieving your goals, whatever they may be. I am trained in a number of different modalities in order to provide a therapeutic process that is unique to each client.
I have worked in the mental health field for 14 years and have worked as a clinician for 9 years. Much of my experience have been working with military, veterans, and their families. I primarily work with men, women, teens, couples, and group counseling.
I am well versed in working with clients with mood (depression), anxiety, trauma disorders, anger/stress management issues, self-esteem issues, and life transition issues. I also have experience working with child abuse survivors, domestic abuse offenders, sexual assault survivors, and domestic abuse survivors as well. For my work responding to the Navy Yard Shooting in 2013, I received a Letter of Commendation from the Secretary of the Navy.
